Key Takeaways
Bengaluru, Jan 16 (NationPress) In light of the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance's triumph in the Maharashtra civic elections, particularly in Mumbai, BJP Karnataka State President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra, along with Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly R. Ashoka, voiced their optimism about replicating this success in the forthcoming Bengaluru civic elections.
Opposition leader Ashoka remarked: “Following the extraordinary success in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP–Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) coalition has once again raised a triumphant banner in the elections for significant urban local bodies in Maharashtra, including the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Pune, Nagpur, and all major municipal corporations across the state.
“This decisive mandate mirrors the citizens' renewed faith in the BJP’s development-driven policies.”
“I extend heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President J.P. Nadda, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and all BJP Maharashtra workers, who played a crucial role in this remarkable victory,” he added.
Just as the Mumbai populace has shown their support for the BJP, Ashoka asserted that the citizens of Bengaluru will also favor the party significantly in the upcoming elections for the five municipal corporations under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA).
He emphasized that the upcoming local body elections will undoubtedly mark the beginning of the Congress party's decline in Karnataka.
BJP Karnataka State President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra stated: “The citizens of Maharashtra have cast a resounding vote in favor of the BJP-led alliance during the Urban Local Body elections, notably in the major city of Mumbai.”
This outcome signifies the trust in PM Narendra Modi's leadership at the national level and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's governance in Maharashtra, Vijayendra affirmed.
“I would also like to congratulate the dedicated karyakartas of the BJP in Maharashtra, the true backbone of our party, whose relentless efforts have made this significant success feasible,” he expressed.
“This mandate accurately reflects the public sentiment and is poised to be mirrored in Karnataka when our state’s local bodies hold elections,” Vijayendra concluded.
