Furthermore, he stated that land reportedly held without legal authorization would be reclaimed in accordance with legal procedures.
CM Sarma also mentioned that the BJP will introduce strict legislation to combat “love jihad,” underlining the importance of maintaining social harmony.
In terms of infrastructure, he revealed plans for the state government to invest Rs 5 lakh crore to enhance transportation networks and connectivity.
Additionally, Rs 18,000 crore will be allocated for flood control initiatives, aiming to eradicate flooding issues in Assam in the near future.
On the employment front, the Chief Minister assured that two lakh young individuals would be offered government positions, while financial support would be provided to 10 lakh people to foster entrepreneurship and self-employment.
In the realm of social welfare, CM Sarma declared that impoverished families would receive essential items like rice, pulses, and sugar at no cost.
He also promised that education from the pre-primary level to university would be provided free of charge and announced the establishment of a medical college, a university, and an engineering college in each district to enhance access to higher education and healthcare.
Moreover, financial support of Rs 25,000 will be granted to 40 lakh women, and the monthly assistance under the Orunodoi scheme will be raised to Rs 3,000.
CM Sarma expressed confidence that these initiatives would secure a firm mandate for the BJP in the forthcoming elections.
