Speaking to the media, CM Sarma emphasized that the BJP's organizational prowess and governance achievements have solidified its standing in at least 103 Assembly seats.

The Chief Minister noted that given the party’s current roster of 63 sitting MLAs, it is expected that a considerable number of new faces will be nominated this election cycle.

Regarding alliance matters, he mentioned that discussions about seat-sharing with the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and other regional parties, especially in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), are nearing completion.

He indicated that engagements with alliance partners have been progressing well and are close to reaching a conclusive stage. “We have nearly finalized seat-sharing agreements with the Asom Gana Parishad and other regional entities in Bodoland,” the CM informed reporters, asserting that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Assam remains united and committed to electoral readiness.

The Chief Minister further revealed that a final decision on seat-sharing among alliance partners is anticipated by mid-March.
