Quetta, March 18 (NationPress) The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has asserted its involvement in strikes within the Kech district, resulting in the deaths of three Pakistani military personnel and leaving four others severely injured. Moreover, the militant group targeted Pakistan-supported death squads in the Washuk district, eliminating three operatives, according to local news outlets on Wednesday.

BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch stated that, based on credible intelligence, their fighters executed an assault on operatives of a state-sponsored "death squad" in the Garari region of Washuk on Tuesday.

As per the spokesperson’s remarks, these death squads had set up a temporary checkpoint along the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) highway, where they were reportedly extorting money from drivers and harassing them. The BLF fighters surrounded the checkpoint and initiated gunfire.

“This operation resulted in the death of three operatives from the death squad, with one captured and currently in our custody,” Gwahram announced.

He identified one of the deceased as Kahoor, alias Manan, a local from Mashkay in Awaran district, while the identities of the other two remain unverified.

The detained individual, named Chakar, son of Sher Muhammad, hails from Naag in Washuk and is presently under interrogation.

The spokesperson accused the group of acting under the sponsorship of a local individual, Ali Haider Muhammad Hasni, while participating in "anti-Baloch activities" at the behest of the state.

In a separate incident, Gwahram reported that BLF fighters executed a synchronized assault on a Pakistani army camp on March 16 in the Malant area of Tump in Kech.

He described how the fighters encircled the camp from various directions before launching a close-range assault with the use of “B-10 rockets, snipers, RPGs, and grenade launchers,” resulting in the deaths of three Pakistani army personnel and critical injuries to four others.

Furthermore, the BLF spokesperson mentioned that the group successfully destroyed surveillance cameras at the camp and inflicted additional damage, as helicopters later arrived to evacuate the injured.

Taking responsibility for both attacks, the BLF issued a warning that anyone opposing the Baloch movement would face severe consequences.

These recent events occur amid a surge in assaults by Baloch militant factions targeting Pakistani military and police forces throughout Balochistan, leading to significant casualties and damage to infrastructure.
