An alarming email claimed that a bomb was located in the offices on Brabourne Road and Anandpur, prompting immediate evacuation as employees rushed out in fear.

Authorities quickly alerted the police and bomb squad, who arrived promptly to investigate. A thorough search, assisted by police dogs, was conducted, but no explosives were discovered within either facility.

Coinciding with this incident, similar threatening emails were sent to multiple post offices in various districts around the same time. A bomb scare was reported at the Howrah Maidan post office, which also led to immediate evacuation. Police and bomb squad members responded and initiated a search, while additional threats were reported at the Asansol Head Post Office in West Midnapore and the Basirhat Head Post Office in North 24 Parganas.

Earlier in the week, on Tuesday and Wednesday, comparable emails threatening explosions were sent to judges at several courts, including the prestigious Calcutta High Court. On Tuesday, bomb threats were directed towards the city’s Calcutta High Court, City Sessions Court, Suri Court in Birbhum, and Asansol Court in West Burdwan district, instigating panic in Hooghly District Court as well. However, after extensive searches, authorities found no suspicious items.

On Wednesday, the Asansol District and Sessions Court also faced a bomb scare, with a threatening email reaching the West Burdwan District Judge, declaring, 'A bomb has been placed in the court. It will explode after some time.'

The Suri District Court in Birbhum experienced a similar situation, with the district judge receiving a threatening message claiming that RDX was located on the premises. Nonetheless, police investigations yielded no findings of concern.
