Los Angeles, April 6 (NationPress) Challenges are escalating for the disgraced rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs as his former partner Casandra “Cassie” Ventura is set to testify against him.

According to People magazine, she will be using her actual name in her testimony.

In a motion submitted on April 4, prosecutors indicated that “Victim-1” will not remain anonymous during Combs' forthcoming trial, where he faces serious charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution.

As reported by People, Ventura, 38, is identified as Victim-1, and she is prepared to testify during the trial. “She is ready to testify under her own name,” the legal filing states. “Victim-2, Victim-3, and Victim-4 have requested anonymity from the press and public.”

Prosecutors have asked that the anonymous victims be referred to in court solely by pseudonyms and requested the court to mandate that the defense refrain from disclosing identifying information about them.

“This case has already garnered significant media attention, which will likely escalate as the trial unfolds,” prosecutors noted. “Implementing these measures will help protect the victims' identities from unnecessary public exposure, media harassment, unwarranted embarrassment, and other negative consequences that would inevitably arise if these women were compelled to reveal their true names during the trial.”

The indictment claims that Combs and his associates lured individuals under the guise of romantic relationships before using “force, threats of force, and coercion” to compel them into “freak offs,” described by prosecutors as “elaborate and produced sex performances” that the disgraced music mogul allegedly coerced others into participating in.

The latest charge of sex trafficking through force, fraud, or coercion asserts that Combs “recruited, enticed, harbored, transported, provided, obtained, advertised, maintained, patronized, and solicited (Victim-2), and attempted, aided and abetted, and willfully caused (Victim-2) to engage in commercial sex acts, knowing and in reckless disregard of the fact that Victim-2 was engaging in commercial sex acts due to force, fraud, and coercion.”
