Did Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Suffer a Painkiller Overdose in 2012?

Los Angeles, May 16 (NationPress) Disgraced rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs experienced a significant overdose of painkillers in February 2012, as disclosed by his attorney during the ongoing sex trafficking trial in New York.

Defense lawyer Anna Estevao highlighted this incident on Thursday afternoon (Pacific Standard Time) while questioning Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, Combs’ former girlfriend and a pivotal witness in the case, according to reports from Variety.

Estevao inquired if Ventura remembered the overdose that occurred in February 2012, prompting Ventura to ask, “Was that around the time Whitney Houston died?”

Recalling the sequence of events, Ventura described how she and Combs participated in a “freak-off,” which is one of Combs’ notorious drug-fueled sex parties, before heading to a sex club in San Bernardino, California. Following this, Combs hosted a gathering at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles, after which Ventura returned home.

According to Variety, that evening, Combs informed Ventura that he had consumed a “very strong opiate,” leading her to take him to the hospital, where it was confirmed that Combs had indeed overdosed on painkillers.

The topic of drug use, both by Combs and Ventura, dominated the first day of her cross-examination, with Estevao directly questioning, “You were both addicts, right?” Throughout the trial, Ventura has candidly discussed her past struggles with opioid addiction, as well as her use of other substances like MDMA, ecstasy, ketamine, mushrooms, cocaine, marijuana, and more. (Ventura entered rehab in 2023 and testified that she has remained drug-free since then).

Ventura stated that she and Combs consumed large quantities of drugs both independently and together, during “freak-offs” and in other contexts. She noted that Combs would become upset if she used drugs with friends instead of him, displaying anger upon discovering such occurrences.

According to Estevao, Ventura often concealed some of her drug use from Combs; however, he was aware of her usage due to visible “side effects,” particularly the dissociation from ketamine. Ventura claimed that Combs instructed drug dealers in Los Angeles not to sell drugs to her, but this directive was ineffective. The day began awkwardly for Estevao, who frequently withdrew her questions and introduced exhibits that had not yet been accepted as evidence, resulting in a brief dispute among the parties.

Ventura, dressed in a white blouse beneath a black blazer with shoulder pads and peaked lapels, maintained her composure, responding calmly as Estevao navigated through the timeline of her relationship with Combs. At times, Ventura appeared confused regarding the timeline of Estevao’s inquiries, leading Estevao to admit, “I know I’m all over the place.”
