CDS Gen Anil Chauhan Launches Book Celebrating Military Legacy of Lawrence School

New Delhi, March 22 (NationPress) Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen Anil Chauhan officially launched the coffee table book The Lawrence School Sanawar – Military Heritage (1847–2025) at the Manekshaw Centre, as reported on Sunday.
According to an official statement, this extensive publication features 450 printed pages alongside 194 supplementary digital pages, serving as a valuable archive of military tradition and leadership heritage.
“The book is of great significance not just for Sanawarians but also for organizations dedicated to developing future leaders,” the statement continued. The event also included an interactive session with notable alumni.
In a prior announcement, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was established between Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) and the Space Applications Centre (SAC) of ISRO. This agreement focuses on maintaining existing satellite-based telecommunications nodes and adding new ones for all branches of the Armed Forces.
“The MoU was executed by Air Marshal Shankar Subramanian, DCIDS (Med), representing HQ IDS, and Nilesh M. Desai, Director, SAC, ISRO. They assessed the current infrastructure and discussed future enhancements for telemedicine nodes,” a post on X revealed.
In another update, the Southern Naval Command shared insights on social media regarding the harbour training phase for international trainees at INS Dronacharya.
“The harbour training phase at INS Dronacharya involved international trainees engaging in rigorous training on VBSS operations and small arms. This capsule course integrated classroom theory, practical demonstrations, and hands-on training, including kill house exercises and tactical procedures at the Composite Indoor Shooting Range, fostering friendships through continuous capability development,” the Southern Naval Command posted on X.
Additionally, INS Trikand, a leading stealth frigate of the Indian Navy, departed from Port Victoria in Seychelles after a fruitful and engaging port call.
During the visit, Captain Sachin Kulkarni, the ship's Commanding Officer, met with senior government representatives of Seychelles as well as the Indian High Commissioner to the nation.
The ship also delivered essential spare parts and supplies to the Government of Seychelles as part of ongoing collaborative efforts.
The port call, which ran from March 16 to March 20, included various operational and cooperative activities between the two nations.
