New Delhi, Nov 14 (NationPress) Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan spearheaded discussions on Defence R&D, Autonomous Systems, Futuristic Technologies, and Ammunition and Explosives during the second installment of the Brainstorming Session (BSS 2.0) on Friday.
In his keynote address at the Manekshaw Centre, the CDS underscored the significant role of PSUs, the private sector, and MSMEs in the realm of defence manufacturing.
The session, themed "Atmanirbharta in Defence – Leveraging Defence Industry Ecosystem for Future Warfare", was organized by the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS), in collaboration with the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM).
According to the HQ IDS on X, Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, emphasized the importance of energizing domestic industries with a focus on technological advancement and Research and Development in his welcome remarks.
The event saw extensive participation from various defence industries, as noted in an official statement.
During the day-long event, topics critical to future warfare were discussed, encompassing ammunition & explosives, autonomous systems, and R&D in advanced technologies.
