New Delhi, Oct 25 (NationPress) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan conducted an essential meeting on Saturday with the senior leadership of the Indian Army during the ongoing Army Commanders’ Conference, targeting operational preparedness and future challenges.
The comprehensive review highlighted the necessity of fortifying combat capabilities, enhancing infrastructure development, and ensuring the Armed Forces are fully prepared to tackle any security challenges in the region.
As per a post by the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) on X, “Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh and General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff, engaged with the apex leadership of the Indian Army during the Army Commanders' Conference.”
The Raksha Mantri and CDS assessed the current security landscape in the region and deliberated on strategies to boost the Armed Forces' preparedness for any eventuality.
During their engagement, they received updates on operational readiness and the pivotal initiatives that have been implemented to enhance combat capability and infrastructure within the sector.
“The CDS also had a candid interaction with the officers and jawans,” HQ IDS noted on X.

Previously, on Friday, HQ IDS shared another update on X, stating, “Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh and General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff, CDS attended the second edition of the Indian Navy's biannual Commanders' Conference 2025.”
“Addressing the Conference, the CDS praised the exceptional professionalism, steadfast resolve, and operational capabilities of Team Navy in maintaining Combat Readiness, which has brought great pride to the nation,” HQ IDS noted on X.
The CDS also engaged with senior naval leadership regarding jointness, integrated operations, and India's maritime strategic priorities in the Indian Ocean Region.
