Rajnath Singh Commends Indian Army's Training Institutions

New Delhi, Dec 29 (NationPress) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday praised the significant role of the training institutions of the Indian Army in enhancing the personnel's proficiency in military strategies and warfare skills.

During his visit to three prominent training institutes of the Indian Army - Army War College (AWC), Infantry School, and Military College of Telecommunication & Engineering (MCTE) - located in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, he was accompanied by Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi and other senior officers.

The Defence Minister received a briefing from the Officiating Commandant on the establishment of the Advanced Incubation and Research Centre and the various MoUs aimed at facilitating the absorption and transformation of technologies, according to an official statement.

He also visited the Army Marksmanship Unit to observe their contributions to national sports.

Additionally, the Defence Minister toured the Infantry Museum, receiving insights into the history of Infantry and the integration of modernised equipment into their operations.

Singh engaged with personnel from all ranks at AWC.

In his address to the troops, he commended the bravery of Indian Army personnel in safeguarding the borders and upholding national security.

“Your dedication and devotion to duty are an inspiration to all of us. It is due to your hard work and commitment that our country and its borders are becoming increasingly secure and strong,” he stated.

The Defence Minister urged the armed forces to remain vigilant regarding the current geopolitical landscape and to be prepared to address any potential threats.

He highlighted that there are instances when India encounters challenges both at the borders and internally, making it crucial for soldiers to monitor adversarial activities closely and respond promptly and effectively.

Singh asserted that the goal of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is to transform India into a developed and self-reliant nation by 2047, with the Armed Forces playing a pivotal role in this endeavor.

Earlier, Rajnath Singh visited the Bhim Janm Bhoomi, a memorial dedicated to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in Mhow, where he paid tribute to the Bharat Ratna awardee and the architect of the Indian Constitution at his birthplace.
