Rajnath Singh Emphasizes the Urgency of Mastering Advanced Technologies

New Delhi, Dec 30 (NationPress) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized on Monday that mastering advanced technologies is essential in today's rapidly changing environment, with military training centres playing a vital role in preparing our soldiers for upcoming challenges.

Speaking to the officers at the Army War College (AWC) in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, Singh pointed out that non-traditional warfare approaches such as information warfare, Artificial Intelligence (AI) warfare, proxy warfare, electromagnetic warfare, space warfare, and cyber attacks present significant challenges.

The Defence Minister highlighted the importance of the military staying well-trained and equipped to tackle these issues, praising the training centres in Mhow for their important contributions.

He acknowledged the centres for consistently updating their training programs to align with modern demands, ensuring that personnel are prepared for all types of challenges.

Singh also discussed the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government to establish a Viksit Bharat by 2047, characterizing the current period as one of transition.

"India is continuously progressing towards development and is swiftly becoming a manufacturing hub. From a military standpoint, we are acquiring modern weaponry and exporting Made-in-India equipment globally. Our defence exports, which were approximately Rs 2,000 crore a decade ago, have soared to an impressive Rs 21,000 crore today. We aim to reach an export target of Rs 50,000 crore by 2029," he stated.

The Defence Minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to enhance integration and jointness among the three armed services, expressing confidence that in the future, the Armed Forces will effectively address challenges collectively.

He commended the high-level training provided to officers from all branches in the Mhow Cantonment.

The Defence Minister encouraged the officers to consider promoting integration through training in areas like weapons training at the Infantry School, AI and Communication Technology at the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), and Leadership training at the AWC.

Singh mentioned that some officers will serve as defence attaches in the future and should work to protect national interests internationally.

"As you assume this role of Defence Attaches, you should embrace the government's vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Only through self-sufficiency can India enhance its defence capabilities and gain greater respect on the global stage," he remarked.

The Defence Minister expressed the government's steadfast commitment to establishing India as one of the strongest economic and military powers worldwide.

"Economic growth is achievable only when security is prioritized. Likewise, a strong security framework relies on a robust economy. Both aspects support each other. By 2047, we will not only become a developed nation, but our Armed Forces will also rank among the most modern and formidable militaries globally," he concluded.
