New Delhi, March 14 (NationPress) In a bid to enhance civil-military collaboration, DRDO Chairman Samir V. Kamat emphasized the importance of the organization’s strategic focus on innovation, indigenisation, and dual-use technologies while addressing the students and faculty at the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), as stated by an official on Saturday.

During the discussion, he provided a glimpse into the future vision of the DRDO aimed at reinforcing civil-military synergy in line with the goals of Atmanirbhar Bharat, according to the official statement.

Previously, General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff, interacted with 40 leaders from industry and startups within the Indian space sector at a Confederation of Indian Industry event focused on “Enhancing Space Capabilities in the Indian Defence Sector.”

This interaction featured participation from G. Satheesh Reddy, a member of the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB), along with representatives from DRDO, ISRO, and the Defence Services Association (DSA).

According to an official statement, the Chief of Defence Staff also visited an electronics company to observe advancements in new capabilities.

General Anil Chauhan reviewed cutting-edge design and manufacturing capabilities in various sectors including defence, space, aerospace, and electronics systems.

“The discussions were centered on future systems aimed at combat readiness and bolstering indigenous technological capabilities for the #ArmedForces,” the official noted on social media.

The Chief of Defence Staff also addressed the team, sharing insights on the evolving operational landscape and the vital role of industry in enhancing the operational and future preparedness of India’s Armed Forces, as per the statement.

In another noteworthy development, the Commandant of the College of Defence Management, along with faculty members, visited the Naval War College.

“During this visit, they engaged with the Commandant and Directing Staff. The #CDM team received briefings on the diverse courses offered at the college and the ongoing initiatives aimed at achieving specific learning outcomes,” an official mentioned on social media.

This visit underscored the spirit of mutual learning and the exchange of best practices between these two esteemed institutions.
