New Delhi, Sep 14 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his best wishes to the nation on the occasion of Hindi Diwas and emphasized that the increasing recognition of Hindi globally is a source of pride and inspiration for all Indians.
Celebrated annually on September 14, Hindi Diwas marks the adoption of Hindi as one of India’s official languages. This date is historically significant, as in 1949, the Constituent Assembly came to a consensus regarding the official language framework while drafting the Constitution.
In a post on X, PM Modi stated, "Heartfelt greetings to all on Hindi Diwas. Hindi is not just a means of communication; it represents a rich heritage of our identity and values."
Encouraging citizens to pass regional languages to future generations, he expressed, "On this occasion, let us come together to enrich Hindi alongside all Indian languages and ensure they are transmitted to the next generations with pride."
He added, "The growing respect for Hindi on the global stage is a source of pride and inspiration for all of us."
Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda also shared his wishes on Hindi Diwas via X.
