In Mysuru, Karnataka, large gatherings of Christians convened at notable churches, including the renowned St. Philomena’s Cathedral, for the celebrations. Late-night prayer services took place where attendees prayed for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of all. The festivities were characterized by the exchange of greetings, gifts, and sweets, embodying the spirit of togetherness that Christmas represents.

Similarly, in Patna, Bihar, special prayers were conducted at the Pro-Cathedral Church on Ashok Rajpath. At midnight, as the birth of Jesus Christ was celebrated, devotees lovingly kissed the infant Jesus in the crib, symbolizing their devotion and faith. A special Mass attracted over 300 Christians and their families, with a hut depicting the birth of baby Jesus, illuminated with electric lights and tall, brightly lit Christmas trees. Devotees worshipped baby Jesus, cut cakes, shared sweets, and exchanged greetings in celebration of Christ’s birth.

Puri, Odisha, saw beautifully adorned churches as the town embraced the festive spirit. The Puri Catholic Church hosted lively celebrations, with attendees gathering at midnight to honor the birth of Lord Jesus Christ.
