Chandigarh, July 12 (NationPress) BJP's National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has criticized Punjab's Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for his shameful remarks regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's international trips. Chugh expressed that Mann's comments reflect a level of arrogance and power-drunk behavior that has clouded his judgment. He stated, “His every word reeks of cheapness,” pointing out that Mann is attacking a Prime Minister who has been elected three times with a significant mandate from the Indian populace. Chugh emphasized the integrity of Modi’s 25-year public service, stating, “He has a vision that resonates globally, yet Mann dares to mock him.”
Chugh further noted that Mann's mention of Home Minister Amit Shah indicates frustration, highlighting Shah's achievements in combating terrorism and enhancing India's internal security. “Under Shah’s leadership, the BJP has emerged as the world's largest political entity,” he remarked.
In response to Mann's comments about gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Chugh reminded him that during his administration, Punjab's prisons became havens for criminals, allowing gangsters to operate freely. “While you were preoccupied with your anti-drug campaigns, it was Amit Shah who effectively tackled the drug mafia across India,” he stated.
Chugh challenged Mann to account for his contributions to Punjab, pointing out the deteriorating law and order situation where “gangsters are in control and the public lives in fear.” He referenced the tragic reality of daily cremation fires in Punjab, juxtaposing it with Mann's trivialization of international affairs.
He also recalled a past incident involving Mann that could have tarnished Punjab's reputation, crediting PM Modi for intervening to preserve Mann’s dignity. “Modi saved Punjab from embarrassment, yet Mann repays that support with disparagement,” Chugh commented.
Chugh accused Mann of echoing the sentiments of his political mentors, Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, who have previously undermined the military and national morale. “Now Mann is posturing as a patriot,” he concluded.
Chugh urged Mann to concentrate on resolving Punjab's issues rather than diminishing the country's stature on both national and international stages.
