Chandigarh, April 8 (NationPress) BJP National General Secretary, Tarun Chugh, stated on Tuesday that the Bhagwant Mann administration has utterly failed to curb subversive and disruptive elements that have brought about a “grenade culture” in Punjab.

After a grenade attack on the residence of former minister and ex-Punjab BJP President, Manoranjan Kalia, in Jalandhar on Monday night, Chugh criticized the AAP government, indicating that it showcased the complete incompetence of Chief Minister Mann, who also holds the position of Home Minister, in addressing foreign-backed anti-national forces.

He asserted, “It is time Mann resigns as Chief Minister for his failure to check grenade attacks in the state.”

“Law and order in the state has completely collapsed as the grenade attack occurred at a senior BJP leader’s residence,” Chugh elaborated, noting that previously grenade attacks were aimed at police stations, but now disruptive forces have shifted their focus to BJP leaders.

Chugh remarked, “This is not an isolated incident but part of a larger, sinister conspiracy to disturb peace, incite communal tensions, and instil fear among people and BJP leaders.”

“From RPG attacks on police headquarters to grenade attacks on police stations, from sacrilege at religious places to the shameful targeting of Babasaheb Ambedkar’s statues -- Punjab has been taken hostage by anti-national, disruptive forces,” Chugh declared.

He asserted that the AAP government has failed to control disruptive elements, resulting in an atmosphere of fear and insecurity among the populace.

Chugh called for a thorough investigation into these occurrences and urged the Chief Minister to take moral responsibility and resign without delay.

In the meantime, Punjab Police reported that they have solved the grenade attack case by arresting two suspects in under 12 hours.

The police indicated that the assault was directed by a terror network backed by Pakistan’s ISI.

Special Director General of Police (Law and Order), Arpit Shukla, revealed to the media that “preliminary investigations have revealed a larger conspiracy orchestrated by Pakistan's ISI to disrupt communal harmony in Punjab.”

He explained that the scheme was masterminded by Zeeshan Akhtar, a close ally of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and ISI-sponsored gangster Shahzad Bhatti.

Nonetheless, he did not dismiss the potential associations of the suspects with Pakistan-based Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) mastermind Harwinder Singh alias Rinda and gangster Happy Passia.

Additionally, he stated that police teams have recovered an e-rickshaw utilized by the suspects to carry out the attack on Kalia's residence.
