Chandigarh, Sep 20 (NationPress) BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Saturday expressed disappointment towards Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, accusing him of permitting the state's law and order situation to decline and of neglecting the safety of migrants.

Chugh pointed out recent incidents in Hoshiarpur and Gurdaspur districts as evidence of how the AAP government has lost its grip on the situation, resulting in a sense of insecurity among the residents of Punjab.

He condemned any efforts to create divides among the populace based on region or community as dangerous and unacceptable.

“No attempts should be made to disturb the peace and harmony of Punjab. The government is responsible for ensuring equal rights, security, and dignity for every individual. This embodies the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,” Chugh emphasized.

He reminded that Punjabis, through their perseverance and dedication, have established their presence across every state in India and globally.

Chugh highlighted that the essence of India has always emphasized unity, as articulated in the phrase “Maanas ki jaat sabai ekai pehchaanbo.”

This enduring vision is the bedrock of Punjab's culture and Indian civilization, and anyone attempting to disrupt this unity is acting against the very essence of the nation.

Referencing the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev, BJP leader Chugh stated that “Kirat Karo, Vand Chhako, Naam Japo” continues to motivate society through values of hard work, sharing, and divine remembrance.

He added that Punjabis have gained respect worldwide due to their industriousness and inclusive principles.

“It is disgraceful,” he remarked, “that the Mann government is fostering an environment where individuals from other states feel threatened. Such divisive actions harm Punjab’s economy, agriculture, and industries that rely on contributions from workers nationwide.”

He criticized the AAP government for engaging in blame-shifting and empty promises instead of taking decisive action against criminals and reinforcing law enforcement.

“Punjab requires security, stability, and growth—rather than the politics of excuses. Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, India is steering towards unity and advancement, and Punjab must not lag behind,” Chugh concluded.

Point of View

It's crucial to recognize the complexity of Punjab's situation. While the BJP rightly points out the need for law and order, it's essential to approach the issue with a commitment to unity and inclusiveness. The state's strength lies in its diversity, and any actions taken must prioritize safety and stability for all its residents.
