Chennai, Oct 23 (NationPress) The visit of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to Tenkasi district is now set for October 28, following a postponement from the original dates of October 24 and 25 due to severe rainfall affecting southern Tamil Nadu.

Official sources indicate that Stalin will arrive in Thoothukudi on October 28 and then travel by road to Tenkasi, where he is expected to engage in a variety of administrative and welfare initiatives.

The itinerary includes inspecting development projects, distributing government aid, and holding discussions with district officials to assess ongoing work.

This southern tour was initially planned as a two-day agenda, but continuous monsoon rains necessitated a change in plans. Officials have since updated the schedule to include all previously canceled events.

After fulfilling his commitments in Tenkasi on October 29, Stalin will make his way to Madurai, where he will spend the night.

On the morning of October 30, he will honor the idol of the goddess at Koripalayam in Madurai before heading to Ramanathapuram district to partake in the annual Thevar Guru Pooja at Pasumpon.

While at Pasumpon, the Chief Minister will pay floral tributes at the memorial of the freedom fighter and esteemed community leader Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar.

This visit upholds the tradition of Tamil Nadu chief ministers paying respects on Thevar's birth anniversary and Guru Pooja day.

Following the ceremony, Stalin is anticipated to return to Chennai in the evening. Officials from the Chief Minister’s Office have confirmed that comprehensive security and logistical arrangements are in place across Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, Madurai, and Ramanathapuram districts due to the revised tour schedule.

This upcoming journey signifies the resumption of Stalin’s southern district tour after the initial delay caused by the northeast monsoon rains.
