Is Congress Really Just a 'Tweet Master Party'?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Chandigarh, Feb 4 (NationPress) Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched a strong critique against the Congress party for its irrational assertions, stating on Wednesday that the party has made confusion its primary policy.
Referring to Congress as a "tweet master party", he emphasized that it thrives on rhetoric and confrontation, while asserting that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is consistently broadening its influence in Haryana, Punjab, and West Bengal.
During a media briefing, Chief Minister Saini criticized Congress for lacking a developmental roadmap, reducing itself to mere reactionary politics.
He remarked, "Congress sirf tweet master 'ban kar reh gayi hai' (The Congress has been reduced to merely a tweet-master party)," highlighting the disparity between online discourse and actual governance.
Saini condemned Congress for what he called "irresponsible, half-baked, and misleading politics" regarding the Union Budget, asserting that the Opposition has neither comprehended nor read the Union Budget and opposes it simply to oppose.
He stated that the second budget under Prime Minister Modi's government is a comprehensive, reform-oriented budget aimed at strengthening Viksit Bharat for the nation’s 140 crore citizens, including 2.80 crore residents of Haryana.
"Our critics launch unfounded allegations without waiting for the complete presentation of the Budget," he remarked.
The Chief Minister also noted that when faced with facts, the Opposition resorts to protests merely to maintain their presence.
"Certain individuals hurriedly took to social media platform X, claiming that Haryana received nothing. At least allow the Budget to be fully presented," he said, adding, "there seems to be an internal competition within Congress to gain favor with Rahul Gandhi".
Referring to Rahul Gandhi's previous remarks, Saini recalled how the Leader of the Opposition questioned whether the Pandavas had introduced GST (Goods and Services Tax) during his visit to Kurukshetra.
Such statements clearly illustrate the level of seriousness and comprehension within the Congress leadership, he concluded.
