Patna, Jan 18 (NationPress) Congress MP Rahul Gandhi announced on Saturday that the Congress party will participate in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections as a member of the INDIA bloc.

During his address at the Congress state headquarters, Sadakat Ashram, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha rallied party members, encouraging them to gear up for a crucial fight against the BJP and RSS in the state.

"You are the lions and tigers of the Congress. Prepare to battle," Rahul Gandhi declared.

He stressed that the ideology of the Congress is deeply embedded within its members.

"The Congress party ideology is part of your blood, embedded in your DNA. You advocate for Congress around the clock. You fear neither BJP nor RSS, and for that, I express my heartfelt gratitude," he remarked.

The Gandhi heir reiterated the Congress party’s dedication to contesting under the banner of the INDIA bloc in the Bihar assembly elections. This declaration came amidst comments from RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who recently indicated that the INDIA alliance was primarily focused on the Lok Sabha elections.

"The BJP and RSS must be defeated in Bihar. Together with the INDIA alliance, we will conquer them," Rahul Gandhi stated, clearly outlining the INDIA bloc's significance in the 2025 state elections.

The Congress MP also pointed out crucial issues affecting Bihar, criticizing the existing governance.

He claimed that the education system in Bihar has been "entirely compromised," robbing young individuals of employment opportunities.

"Young people are unable to find jobs in Bihar. Inflation is soaring, and the impoverished are suffering," he noted, signaling a commitment to tackling economic and social issues.

The current Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, heads a coalition government in Bihar, with the Janata Dal-United and BJP as the primary partners.
