Hyderabad, July 30 (NationPress) In preparation for their upcoming padyatra commencing on Thursday, AICC in-charge for Telangana, Meenakshi Natarajan, along with TPCC president, Mahesh Kumar Goud, met with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to deliberate on various party matters.
The meeting took place at the residence of the Chief Minister and centered on the padyatra, which aims to solidify the party's foundation ahead of the forthcoming local body elections.
Meenakshi Natarajan and Mahesh Goud are set to lead the padyatra from July 31 to August 4.
Additionally, the leaders outlined an action plan to amplify their efforts in Delhi for Backward Classes reservation.
From August 5 to August 7, the Chief Minister, various ministers, and other party leaders will be stationed in Delhi to advocate for the Presidential assent of two Bills designed to ensure 42 percent reservation for Backward Classes in education, employment, and local governance.
On August 5, Congress MPs will submit a notice for adjournment in both houses of Parliament to discuss Backward Class reservation.
The following day, a dharna will be organized at Jantar Mantar concerning Backward Class reservation, involving the Chief Minister, ministers, MLAs, MLCs, party leaders, and representatives from Backward Class organizations.
On August 7, Congress leaders plan to meet President Droupadi Murmu to present a memorandum.
