Cow Cruelty Incident: BJP Accuses Karnataka CM of Intent to Diminish Hindu Demographics

Bengaluru, Jan 13 (NationPress) In a recent cow cruelty case, a man was detained by Karnataka authorities for mutilating the udders of three cows in Chamarajpet. The BJP has launched an attack on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, asserting that his motives are to 'diminish' the Hindu population in the state.

During a press briefing at the Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on Monday, the Leader of Opposition (LoP), R. Ashoka, remarked, 'On the festive occasion of Sankranti, a disturbing incident occurred involving the slashing of udders of three cows, and the government must take decisive action against those responsible.'

'One suspect has been apprehended, reportedly from Bihar. Yet, he has resided in the same locality for the last decade, with his brother owning a factory here. The police ought to conduct a thorough interrogation to uncover the individuals behind this act,' he urged.

A comprehensive investigation is essential to determine who orchestrated this incident, he emphasized.

'There exists a veterinary hospital in the vicinity, and there are claims of attempts to transfer it to the Waqf Board. Allegations suggest that the government fabricated documents to misappropriate property valued at about Rs 500 crore. Those who protested, including cow owner Karna, are allegedly being targeted for retaliation,' Ashoka alleged.

'Recently, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah urged people at a public gathering to limit themselves to two children. He should direct this message to the Muslim community as well. His apparent intent is to diminish the Hindu demographic while bolstering the Muslim populace,' Ashoka stated.

'One community appears to be favored while another is neglected. As Chief Minister, he ought to promote unity among all communities,' Ashoka asserted.

Regarding Minister Zameer Ahmad Khan's proposal to provide new cows to the owner of the three harmed cows, Ashoka remarked, 'This will not rectify the issue. Justice must prevail.'

Mocking Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, he noted, 'CM Siddaramaiah continuously emphasizes that the CM chair is not vacant, repeating this countless times wherever he goes. Leaders are deeply enmeshed in power politics.'

'Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar traveled to Mandya and openly requested the public to grant him power. Now, he is begging before the legislators. The government should clarify where this power-sharing is occurring,' he demanded.

'Despite the visit from Congress in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala, these issues remain unresolved. Legislators should be provided clarity regarding the power-sharing situation,' he concluded.
