Bengaluru, Jan 20 (NationPress) The Karnataka BJP asserted on Monday that planned attacks on cows by fanatical forces are aimed at inciting and damaging Hindu sentiments across the state.

Opposition Leader R. Ashoka emphasized the need for the Karnataka government to treat this matter with utmost seriousness and to halt these abhorrent acts without delay; otherwise, a significant protest would ensue statewide.

Ashoka stated, “Before the uproar over the disturbing incident involving the mutilation of three cows' udders during a festival in Chamarajpet faded, another horrifying event has emerged.

“In Salakoda village within the Honnavar taluk of Karwar district, individuals involved have once again shown cruelty by slaughtering a pregnant cow, extracting the calf from its womb, discarding it, and seizing the meat.”

“Honorable Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the repeated violence against cows indicates a broader conspiracy at work. It seems to suggest a substantial jihadi agenda orchestrated by fanatical and fundamentalist forces,” Ashoka highlighted.

The incident involving the mutilation of udders from three cows sparked communal tensions in Bengaluru.

Although authorities have apprehended one suspect linked to the case, the BJP has accused the government of negligence and has organized a protest in response.

In close succession to the udder mutilation, reports surfaced of miscreants cutting off the tail of a cow and inflicting injuries on its back in Nanjangud town, Mysuru district.

The latest incident occurred in Karwar district when a pregnant cow was out grazing.

Commenting on the centenary celebrations to mark Mahatma Gandhi’s 100 years as AICC President held in Belagavi by the ruling Congress, Ashoka questioned, “Does embracing Gandhi's ideals mean misappropriating funds from the Valmiki Development Corporation meant for the underprivileged? Or does it imply seizing Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) lands intended for the homeless to erect shelters?”

“Does adhering to Gandhi's principles equate to using the freedoms he fought for to endorse anti-national sentiments calling for ‘Pakistan Zindabad’? Or does it mean turning a blind eye while the sacred cow is slaughtered?” Ashoka criticized.
