Moscow, Jan 2 (NationPress) The death toll from the Ukrainian terrorist attack in Khorly has increased to 28 following the death of a woman who was hospitalized in a Crimean medical facility, according to reports from Russian media on Friday.
As per a statement from the Crimean Ministry of Health, RIA Novosti, the state-run news agency in Russia, reported that a woman who was under intensive care in a Dzhankoy hospital succumbed to her injuries on Friday.
"Regrettably, we were unable to save the woman, who had been admitted to the Dzhankoy Central District Hospital," stated the Telegram channel of the Crimean Ministry of Health.
The spokesperson for the Russian Investigative Committee, Svetlana Petrenko, informed RIA Novosti that 27 individuals, including two minors, lost their lives due to a terrorist attack carried out by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the village of Khorly within the Kherson region.
On Thursday, provincial Governor Volodymyr Saldo announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces targeted a drone strike while civilians were celebrating the New Year at a cafe and hotel along the Black Sea coast in Khorly. The region has declared Friday and Saturday as days of mourning, according to the report.
The hospital report indicated that 14 individuals are currently receiving treatment in medical facilities in the Republic of Crimea who were injured during the attack in Khorly.
"Five children are presently being treated at the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital. Seven adults are receiving care at Simferopol Clinical Emergency Hospital No. 6, while two more patients are at the N.A. Semashko Republican Clinical Hospital," the statement read.

Previously, Gennady Gatilov, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, urged UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk and the OHCHR to swiftly condemn this terrorist act by the Ukrainian army in the Kherson Region.
"On New Year's Eve, the Kyiv regime led by Zelensky executed another horrific strike using UAVs armed with munitions, targeting civilians in Khorly, Kherson Region," Gatilov stated. "While the exact number of casualties is still being confirmed, it is evident that dozens of people, including young children, have perished," he stressed.
"We demand that UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk and his Office (OHCHR), along with the relevant special procedures of the Human Rights Council, publicly condemn the Kyiv regime's horrific terrorist attack in the Kherson Region as soon as possible," the diplomat conveyed in his statement shared on the Telegram channel of his mission.
