Moscow, Jan 22 (NationPress) A recent attack by Ukraine on port facilities located in Russia's Krasnodar region has resulted in the tragic deaths of three individuals, as reported by local officials.
The Governor of Krasnodar, Veniamin Kondratyev, shared on Telegram that the assault targeted port terminals in the village of Volna, situated in the Temryuk district.
This attack ignited a fire at the location, causing four tanks containing oil products to catch fire. The governor noted that operations for firefighting and emergency response are currently in progress.
The incident led to a fire that spread to four petroleum product tanks, resulting in the loss of three lives and leaving eight others with moderate injuries.
Taman Port is a crucial export hub for Russia, dealing with oil, petroleum products, coal, sulfur, ammonia, carbamide, and food cargo.
On the night of January 20, another drone strike resulted in injuries to at least 11 people in the Takhtamukaysky District of Russia's Republic of Adygea, according to Murat Kumpilov, the head of the republic, who reported this on his Telegram channel.
Kumpilov indicated that nine of the injured required hospitalization, and all were reported to be in stable condition, including two children. Fortunately, there were no fatalities.
This attack occurred in the village of Novaya Adygea, where a substantial fire erupted, damaging an apartment building and a nearby parking lot. Initial reports indicate that 15 vehicles were destroyed, and another 25 were damaged.
Additionally, on Tuesday, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko revealed that Russian aerial assaults caused significant disruptions to power and water supply in the Ukrainian capital.
In total, 5,635 apartment buildings in Kyiv were left without heating following the overnight bombings, Klitschko mentioned on social media.
The strikes caused extensive power and water supply outages, while utility crews worked diligently to restore heating, water, and electricity services, he added.
In Kyiv, a woman sustained injuries, and various buildings and vehicles were damaged, as reported by the mayor.
In the surrounding region of Kyiv, a 50-year-old man lost his life due to the attack, according to regional Governor Mykola Kalashnyk.
The bombings occurred as nighttime temperatures in Kyiv plummeted to -14 degrees Celsius. By Monday evening, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine had established 91 emergency heating tents across the city to assist residents in warming up and charging electronic devices.
