As per the police report, the accident occurred in the early hours of September 15, when Mayank Jain, a hotel manager, was driving his Honda City near the RTR Flyover in Vasant Vihar. Between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m., a blue Maruti Baleno crashed into his vehicle. When Mayank stepped out to confront the driver, he was intentionally run over, prompting the driver to flee the scene.
