Jaipur, Jan 27 (NationPress) In light of the current debate surrounding the new UGC regulations, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has provided his initial insights.
During an address on Tuesday in Chhoti Khatu, located in the Didwana-Kuchaman district, the minister emphasized that any form of harassment or discrimination within the educational framework is unacceptable.
Pradhan stated, "I assure everyone there will be no discrimination and no one can misuse the law."
He further asserted that no individual has the authority to exploit their position under the guise of discrimination.
“Whether it is the UGC, the Government of India, or state governments, all must operate strictly within the constitutional framework,” he mentioned.
He reiterated that no individual would face oppression or discrimination in educational institutions, a measure being implemented following Supreme Court directives.
During his visit, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan laid the foundation stone for a new facility for the Government Senior Secondary School in Chhoti Khatu. The construction of this school is projected to cost around Rs 4.50 crore.
On this occasion, Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar announced that the school would bear the name of Jain religious figure Acharya Mahashraman.
While addressing attendees, Pradhan underscored significant aspects of the National Education Policy, asserting that the central government is diligently working to enhance the overall quality of education nationwide.
Highlighting the significance of the mother tongue, the Union Education Minister advocated for the introduction of the Rajasthani language in government schools in Rajasthan in the near future.
He provided necessary directions to State Education Minister Madan Dilawar regarding this matter. Stressing the necessity of technology-based education, Pradhan remarked that in today's era, it is crucial to connect students with digital resources.
This approach, he noted, would aid in making youth more skilled and enhance their employment prospects.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar mentioned that the school under construction in Chhoti Khatu is expected to set a benchmark and outshine many private educational institutions.
He disclosed that while the government has allocated approximately Rs 4.50 crore for the project, the Jain community from Chhoti Khatu will contribute an additional Rs 50 lakh.
He further stated that the Rajasthani language will be incorporated into the school curriculum statewide within the next two years, with the syllabus already prepared.
