Jaipur, Sep 30 (NationPress) Rajasthan's Education Minister Madan Dilawar has mounted a fierce rebuttal against Pradesh Congress Committee President Govind Singh Dotasra, alleging that he accepted bribes for teachers’ transfers during the tenure of the previous administration. Speaking at Piprali in Sikar during the three-day Sports Mahakumbh and MP Sports Competition to celebrate the birthday of former MP Sumedhanand Saraswati, Dilawar stated, “Dotasra is my good friend, but a dishonest friend. He used to take money for teachers’ transfers. He possesses many qualities, but I do not share them.”
These comments were made in reaction to Dotasra’s assertion on September 28 that Dilawar, despite holding the position of Education Minister, “lacks understanding of education.”
Dilawar recalled the previous administration's time, claiming, “When Ashok Gehlot was Chief Minister and Dotasra served as Education Minister, Gehlot personally inquired with teachers about monetary exchanges in transfers. The teachers confirmed this during an event, demonstrating that Dotasra was indeed accepting bribes.”
Addressing the recent transfer of principals from Laxmangarh, he remarked, “It is essential to have virtuous individuals in all areas. The role of sants and good people is to propagate goodness so that others may learn and follow the correct path.”
Dilawar also urged the public to prefer locally-manufactured products. “From the Colgate we use to brush our teeth, to the soaps we use for bathing, and the firecrackers we set off during Diwali, most are imported. Even items like rakhis and gulal come from abroad. Such tendencies diminish our national pride while benefiting countries like China that bolster our adversaries,” he expressed.
In light of the recent Pahalgam terror incident that resulted in 26 fatalities, Dilawar accused Pakistan of acting with support from China.
“Pakistan alone cannot achieve anything. However, India knows how to confront challenges. The recent conflict has shown that our equipment is the finest globally, thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership,” he added.
The minister also paid a visit to the Vedic Ashram in Piprali, where he offered jaggery to cows and extended his birthday wishes to Sumedhanand Saraswati.
