In his speech, the CEC emphasized that the core values of sports—transparency, integrity, and impartiality—are also fundamental to the electoral processes upheld by the ECI. He urged all participants to engage fully in the week's sporting activities,” stated the election body in an announcement.
After his address, CEC Gyanesh Kumar initiated the 100-meter women's race under the banner 'Run For Democracy'. The theme for this year's Annual Sports Week is 'Harmony on the field, Strength in Democracy'.
This year's event, organized by the ECI's Recreation Club, features 383 participants, including 72 women.
