Sources within the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) have indicated that the special ECI team, led by Senior Deputy Election Commissioner Gyanesh Bharati, is expected to land in Kolkata on Monday morning. Their mission will be to evaluate the preparedness across the 294 Assembly constituencies within the state.

Upon their arrival, the visiting ECI personnel will be split into two groups. “One group will focus on assessing the situation in South Bengal districts, such as East Burdwan, West Burdwan, East Midnapore, Howrah, Hooghly, North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, and Kolkata. The second group will scrutinize the electoral preparations in North Bengal districts, including Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, North Dinajpur, and South Dinajpur, among others,” a source from the CEO's office revealed.
