Los Angeles, April 6 (NationPress) This year's Coachella festival has left attendees in awe with the unexpected announcement of two major last-minute performers joining its lineup.

The festival organizers have set the performance times, revealing that Ed Sheeran and Weezer will both be taking the stage, according to reports from Variety.

However, festivalgoers will not get to see both artists perform on the same weekend. They are scheduled to play virtually at the same time slots on consecutive Saturdays, with surprisingly early start times.

According to Variety, Weezer will take the Mojave tent stage on April 12 at 3:10 p.m., while Sheeran will perform the same stage at 3 p.m. on April 19. Weezer is set for a quick 45-minute set, while Sheeran will have a full hour to entertain.

The announcement of these set times clears up some questions regarding how the co-headliners on Saturdays, Green Day and Travis Scott, will share the performance spotlight each weekend. Green Day is set to perform from 9:05 to 10:45 p.m. PT, followed by Scott, who will hit the stage at midnight after a brief intermission.

During the other two nights of each weekend, with no after-hours performance on the main stage, the shows are expected to conclude somewhat earlier. On the two Friday nights, Lady Gaga will take the stage at 11:10 p.m., while on Sunday nights, Post Malone will wrap up starting at 10:25 p.m.

The festival shared the performance times through their social media channels.

However, some artists initially included in the lineup are no longer participating, as was announced prior to Saturday's unveiling of set times. FKA Twigs revealed on Friday that she would be unable to attend due to visa complications. Earlier, Anitta announced in late March that she would not be performing due to “unexpected personal reasons.”
