Among the items seized from the militants were a vehicle, Indian and Nepalese currency, mobile phones, SIM cards, Aadhaar and PAN cards.
Of the detained militants, three KCP members were captured in the border regions of India-Myanmar within the hilly Tengnoupal district.
Additionally, security forces discovered a significant amount of arms and ammunition in the mountainous Kangpokpi district. The seized weapons included an INSAS rifle with a magazine, a .303 rifle, a lathode, a .32 pistol with a magazine, four bolt-action rifles, an M16 rifle, an MA1 assault rifle, a sniper rifle, a .32 bore pistol, and seven single-barrel rifles.
Four hand grenades were also located during the operation, which took place in the villages of Tingkai Khullen, Maohing, and Changoubung, according to the police official.
Search operations and area control initiatives continue to be conducted by security forces in the peripheral and sensitive areas throughout the Imphal valley and hilly regions.
The Manipur Police have once again urged citizens to refrain from disseminating rumors and false videos, cautioning them to verify any dubious content with the Central Control Room, as stated in a police announcement.
Authorities noted the potential for numerous fake posts circulating on social media, warning that sharing such misinformation could lead to legal repercussions.
Moreover, the public is urged to return any looted arms, ammunition, and explosives to the police or nearby security forces immediately,” the statement concluded.
