According to a police representative, the militants were taken into custody in the Thoubal and Bishnupur districts, where law enforcement recovered an array of arms and ammunition from a militant named Moirangthem Mohen Singh, alias Pari, aged 42.
The seized items included an SM carbine with a magazine, two magazines for AK rifles, 24 rounds of AK ammunition, a camouflage shirt, and a mobile phone with two SIM cards.

Additionally, Mohammad Wahidur Rahman, 43, was arrested in the Imphal West district, where authorities confiscated 544 grams of illicit drugs from his possession.
In a concerning revelation, it has been confirmed that Rahman serves as a rifleman in the Manipur Police.
The police reiterated their commitment to addressing misconduct among officers engaging in illegal drug-related activities. They confirmed that disciplinary actions and criminal charges will be filed against such individuals.
In a separate operation, security forces apprehended two more drug peddlers, Mohammad Khursid Alam, 21, and Mohammad Akbar, 37, in the Khergao Awang Leikai area of Imphal East.
Authorities recovered nearly 3 kg of heroin, eight bottles of psychotropic Tussrex-TR syrup, cash amounting to Rs 9.57 lakh, an SBBL gun with two cartridges, a vehicle, and four mobile phones from them.
During ongoing search operations, security forces also seized various arms and ammunition in the Imphal West district, including a .303 rifle, five pistols, bulletproof vests, and camouflage gear.
Officials confirmed that operations to secure vulnerable areas are ongoing. Meanwhile, over 340 vehicles transporting essential goods have traversed the Imphal-Jiribam National Highway (NH-37) safely in the last 24 hours, thanks to strict security measures.
A total of 115 checkpoints have been established across the districts to thwart any illegal movements of suspected elements.
