Esteemed Saint Siyaram Baba Passes Away in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, Dec 11 (NationPress) Esteemed Hindu saint Siyaram Baba passed away after a prolonged illness at his ashram along the banks of the Narmada River in Madhya Pradesh's Khargone district early on Wednesday.
Siyaram Baba, a devoted follower of Lord Ram, had been battling pneumonia for the past two weeks and took his last breath around 6:30 a.m.
His passing occurred on the auspicious occasion of Ekadashi and Geeta Jayanti.
There are discrepancies regarding his age; while some reports claim he was 95 years old, his followers believed he was over 100.
Born in 1933 in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, Siyaram Baba began his spiritual journey at the age of 17. After visiting numerous pilgrimage sites across India, he settled in Khargone and established his ashram in 1962.
He engaged in profound meditation beneath a tree, continuously chanting 'Jai Siya Ram'. It is said that he devoted about 21 hours each day to preaching the Ramayana.
The saint led a minimalistic lifestyle, donning only a loincloth and following a rigorous routine of daily rituals that included meditation and prayer. Despite his advanced age, he managed his daily tasks independently, which further solidified his reputation as a spiritually powerful and self-reliant individual.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and several other leaders from both the ruling BJP and Congress have expressed their sorrow over the saint's passing.
Chief Minister Yadav remarked that the loss of the devoted follower of Lord Ram, Siyaram Baba, represents an irreparable loss for both the saint community and the state of Madhya Pradesh.
"I pray to Baba Mahakal to grant a place for this virtuous soul at his feet and to provide strength to his countless followers to endure this sorrow. Millions of salutations at the feet of Santshree," Chief Minister Yadav stated.
