Gandhinagar, Feb 22 (NationPress) In light of the impending Class 10 and 12 board examinations slated to commence statewide, the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has taken a significant step to assist students.

To facilitate seamless travel for examination candidates, GSRTC will introduce an additional 250 bus trips in addition to its standard services.

This decision was announced by Transport Minister Harsh Sanghavi, who conveyed the information via social media.

In a message on his official X account, Minister Sanghavi stated: "With the Class 10 and 12 board exams scheduled from February 27 to March 10, 2025, GSRTC will provide extra bus services as needed. Similar to previous years, the corporation will implement around 250 extra trips to meet students' requirements."

He also mentioned that local administrations have already requested approximately 85 additional buses, with more to be deployed according to demand.

To ensure students experience no inconvenience, Minister Sanghavi has directed all district transport offices to prioritize student travel, operate extra buses, and adhere to punctual schedules during the examination period.

Furthermore, control rooms will be established at all GSRTC divisions to oversee and manage transportation services effectively. As the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) gears up for the upcoming Class 10 and 12 board examinations, data reveals that nearly 14.26 lakh students have registered to take these exams in 2025.

This includes around 8.90 lakh students for the Class 10 exams, 1.11 lakh for the Class 12 science stream, and 4.25 lakh for the Class 12 general stream.

In addition to the state board, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also initiated its Class 10 and 12 examinations in Gujarat, with over 75,000 students participating.

Of these, 43,000 are from Class 10, and 32,000 are from Class 12.
