Mangal, along with his wife, daughter, and other family members, has been residing in a rented home for many years.

Hailing from Khairpur in Sirsa, Mangal expressed that his first intention for the lottery prize money is to build a home of his own.

Mangal shared that he has been purchasing lottery tickets for the past five to six years. Despite having to wait over half a decade to achieve his fortune among thousands of hopefuls, he remained steadfast and kept the dream of his own 'rags to riches' story alive.
His home was soon filled with excited neighbors and relatives, all celebrating his astonishing victory, which has made him an 'Instant Crorepati'.
Mangal mentioned that after constructing his house, he plans to save the remaining funds to secure a brighter future for his daughter, also expressing a desire to make some charitable contributions.
During an interaction with the media on Wednesday, Mangal revealed that he learned about his Rs 1.5 crore lottery win the previous night, and since then, his family has been in a celebratory mood.
He emphasized that although the family has faced financial instability, he now aims to "expand his plumbing business and eventually build a house."
His wife, Vandana, mentioned to the media that Mangal has been buying lottery tickets for several years. "Now that he has won the lottery, he is considering building our own house and also securing a future for our daughter," she added.
Mahendarpal, a neighbor, expressed his happiness stating, "I am very pleased that Mangal won the lottery. I congratulate him on his Rs 1.5 crore win and wish him a prosperous future."
