Raipur, March 18 (NationPress) Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir is poised to mentor young cricketers in Chhattisgarh for the very first time. A unique Cricket Masterclass and Training Camp is scheduled for April and May, providing budding players with top-notch coaching under Gambhir’s expertise.
The camp is being organized in partnership with Ekana and Aranya, featuring seasoned coaches like Mayank Siddana (former Delhi Ranji team selector), Suhail Sharma (assistant coach of India Capitals), and Atul Ranade (former India ‘C’ fielding coach).
This marks the inaugural occasion an Indian cricket team head coach will hold a training camp in Chhattisgarh. The state has recently experienced a surge in cricket enthusiasm, particularly following the success of the International Masters League held in Raipur.
The India Masters claimed the first International Masters League (IML) 2025 title, triumphing over West Indies Masters by six wickets in a spectacular final that rekindled the magic of cricket’s golden era. Under the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, India Masters delivered a stellar all-around performance to outshine Brian Lara’s West Indies Masters and secure the prestigious title at the SVNS International Stadium.

Players interested in joining the camp will need to undergo trials on March 22 and 23 at Emerging Cricket Ground, Avanti Vihar, Raipur. Selected players will then take part in the exclusive training camp in April and May.
The training camp fee is Rs 12,500 for players above 16 years and Rs 9,000 for players under 16 years. Participants will receive a cricket kit signed by Gautam Gambhir (T-shirt & cap), nutritious snacks and hydration, future scholarship opportunities, transportation services, and a direct mentorship session with Gautam Gambhir.
