New Delhi, Oct 4 (NationPress) In a call to embrace the Swadeshi spirit this Diwali, Union Home Minister Amit Shah encouraged citizens to promote Indian products and reject foreign items. He emphasized that this united effort from 140 crore individuals would elevate the nation to greatness.
During a public gathering near Panaji, after inaugurating the Mhaje Ghar Yojana and laying the groundwork for multiple development initiatives, Shah shared his insights.
Accompanying him were Goa's Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, North Goa MP and Union Minister Shripad Naik, and Rajya Sabha member Sadanand Shet Tanavade.
While launching the 'Mhaje Ghar Yojana', Amit Shah remarked, "This initiative transcends being merely a government program; it embodies responsive governance. It signifies a sensitive and citizen-focused administration, and under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance, BJP-led governments are committed to thorough reforms."
Shah elaborated that the scheme aims to offer legal recognition and ownership rights to Goan citizens entangled in various legal issues, amounting to approximately 11 different complexities. Starting tomorrow, beneficiaries will proudly declare, "This is my house; it is genuinely mine." This marks a substantial advancement toward empowerment, providing permanent legal rights to nearly half of the state's population.
Criticizing the Congress party, Shah stated, "When the BJP began its winning streak in Goa, Congress dismissed it as a minor state. Regardless of size, all residents are citizens of India."
He further highlighted PM Modi's vision of transforming Bharat into a developed nation by 2047, asserting, "Given the pace of development in Goa, it appears the state will achieve full development by 2035-2037."
On the recent tax reforms, Shah noted, "PM Modi has eliminated income tax for those earning up to Rs 12 lakh. Swayampurna Goa is a pivotal initiative by the Goa government. I urge CM Pramod Sawant to sustain this program. Continuous new government initiatives are essential, and through Swayampurna Goa, we must diligently address our citizens' challenges... Our aim should be to make Goa the first fully developed state in the nation in the near future..."
