New Delhi, Sep 5 (NationPress) The recent announcement of reforms to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) by the Central government has garnered significant acclaim from leaders across various political factions, who regard this decision as a substantial relief for the underprivileged, farmers, women, and the middle class.
Chhattisgarh’s Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao described the reform as a pivotal advancement for the younger generation. “This new reform is a crucial step for the new generation. It provides considerable relief to women, extensive advantages for farmers, and assistance for students,” he remarked.
BJP’s national general secretary Tarun Chugh praised the initiative, labeling it a festive present for the nation.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration has delivered a significant advantage to the underprivileged and middle class just before the festivals. Numerous vital decisions have been implemented to assist MSMEs and small vendors. This is genuinely a moment to celebrate Diwali before Diwali. With Navratri, Diwali, and Chhath approaching, there is a joyful spirit throughout the nation. Taxes on essential items such as roti, kapda, and makaan have been nearly eliminated or drastically reduced. Historic reforms have been enacted to alleviate burdens for the poor, middle class, and farmers,” Chugh stated.
BJP MP Jagadish Shettar also expressed his approval of the move. “I wholeheartedly endorse the GST reforms and sincerely commend the initiatives taken by Narendra Modi ji and Nirmala Sitharaman ji. Every citizen of India, including economic experts, media figures, industrialists, business owners, and ordinary middle-class individuals, has welcomed this decision,” he affirmed.
From the Shiv Sena, leader Shaina NC highlighted that the primary beneficiary is the consumer. “Whether it’s two-wheelers, small cars, televisions, air conditioners, or cement, which have seen a reduction from 28 percent to 18 percent, the ultimate beneficiary is the consumer. It is not the government but the consumer who has benefited from simplified processes,” she stated.
Another Shiv Sena member, Manisha Kayande, commended PM Modi’s strategy.
