Amaravati, Sep 4 (NationPress) The Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan, expressed his support for the recently approved Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms by the GST Council on Thursday. The leader of Jana Sena took to ‘X’, describing these reforms as a genuine Diwali gift to the citizens of the nation.

He emphasized that the Central government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has fulfilled the commitment made during the Independence Day address from the Red Fort by introducing groundbreaking changes to reduce the GST burden.

“I particularly appreciate the substantial relief provided to the underprivileged, middle-class families, farmers, and the healthcare sector, alongside the complete exemption of GST on education and insurance, which protect lives and foster future growth. These reforms will alleviate the hardships faced by numerous families,” stated Pawan Kalyan, who is an ally of the BJP-led NDA government.

“I extend my sincere thanks to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Ji and the GST Council for implementing these reforms with a strong emphasis on the welfare of the people.
