Sanaa, April 14 (NationPress) The Houthi movement of Yemen has taken credit for executing three airstrikes targeting Israeli installations, as reported by the Houthi-operated al-Masirah TV.

Military spokesperson Yahya Sarea announced that two missiles were directed towards central Israel on Sunday, with one aimed at the Sdot Micha military base and the other targeting Ben Gurion Airport, according to Xinhua news agency.

Sarea further revealed that a drone strike was conducted against a critical target in the Ashkelon region of southern Israel, without disclosing specifics.

Earlier, the Israeli military confirmed that a missile originating from Yemen was likely intercepted by its air defense systems prior to entering Israeli airspace.

This launch activated air raid sirens throughout central Israel, leading millions of residents to seek shelter. Fortunately, no injuries or damage were reported, as stated by Israel's national emergency service, Magen David Adom.

On the previous Friday, the Houthi group announced it had initiated new drone assaults on the city of Tel Aviv in central Israel.
