New Delhi, Jan 6 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized on Tuesday that the Residue Upgradation Facility (RUF) established by HPCL at the Visakh refinery in Andhra Pradesh significantly contributes to our endeavors to enhance energy security.

In a post on X, PM Modi remarked that the state-of-the-art facility propels our journey towards energy security, thus making us Aatmanirbhar in this domain.

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, noted that India's quest for energy security has achieved a crucial milestone with the successful launch of HPCL’s Residue Upgradation Facility at the Visakh Refinery.

Puri shared this news on the social media platform X, stating that the facility’s inauguration is a substantial advancement towards a self-sufficient India under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

“As part of the three-stage Visakh Refinery Modernisation Project (VRMP), the refinery has now integrated a new Residue Upgradation Facility equipped with three of the heaviest reactors globally.
