New Delhi, Oct 6 (NationPress) The CEO of the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC), P. Ramakrishna, emphasized on Monday that this year's flagship annual event is set to highlight the technological prowess of the nation on a global stage.
This edition will delve into how the Indian mobile and telecom landscape is adapting to fulfill international demands.
He noted that developing indigenous platforms is vital for fostering self-reliance and will bolster India's role as a telecom hub globally.
In a media briefing, Ramakrishna announced that the event will feature an expo showcasing various applications of AI in 5G technology, and will also include demonstrations of 6G use cases.
He encouraged attendees to witness the evolution of technology and its implications for societal needs. "Presenting use cases will make it easier to understand how advanced technologies can enhance services for citizens," he stated.
The CEO revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially open the IMC, scheduled from October 8-11 at Yashobhoomi in the capital.
In related news, Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia described the IMC as Asia's largest technology event, uniting global telecom leaders, innovators, startups, and policymakers.
This four-day event will focus on shaping the future of 6G, AI-native networks, satellite communications (Satcom), and the next generation of digital infrastructure, he added.
Upon reviewing the event preparations, Scindia affirmed that IMC 2025 will further establish India’s leadership in the global telecom arena.
Recognized as a major technology event in India, the IMC attracts participation from both local and international companies.
Last year, the IMC took place from October 15 to 18, featuring over 400 exhibitors, nearly 900 startups, and representatives from over 120 countries.
The event highlighted more than 900 technology use cases and included over 100 sessions with discussions led by over 600 speakers from India and around the world.
