New Delhi, Oct 6 (NationPress) Asia’s premier technology event, the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, is poised to kick off on October 8 in New Delhi, uniting global telecom leaders, innovators, startups, and policymakers, as stated by Union Minister of Communications, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia on Monday.
This four-day event will concentrate on defining the future of 6G, AI-native networks, satellite communications (Satcom), and the next generation of digital infrastructure.
In his review of the event's preparations, Scindia emphasized that IMC 2025 will reinforce India’s position as a leader in the global telecom industry.
“The event will gather global telecom leaders, innovators, startups, and policymakers to outline the roadmap for 6G, AI-native networks, satellite communications, and next-gen digital infrastructure, reaffirming India’s leadership in the global telecom arena,” he shared on the social media platform X.
He noted that the event will bring together key players from across the globe to discuss the trajectory of future technologies and digital advancement.
Highlighting this year's emphasis on startups, Scindia introduced the ‘IMC Aspire Programme’, aimed at connecting entrepreneurs with investors and financial entities.
“For the first time, we will have around 500 startups and 300 venture capitalists, private equity promoters, and investment bankers participating. IMC 2025 will act as a bridge between startups and venture financing,” he remarked.
Scindia also reiterated that India is at the forefront of the global race towards 6G technology.
He mentioned that the standards and protocols for 6G are already in development, with the Bharat 6G Alliance, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022, playing a crucial role in this advancement.
The alliance will be an integral part of the discussions at IMC 2025. The event will also feature the ‘International AI Summit’, where experts will delve into the latest in artificial intelligence.
“We are hosting an Artificial Intelligence Summit as part of IMC,” Scindia added.
Another significant aspect will be the ‘SATCOM Summit’, focusing on satellite communication services.
Scindia pointed out that three licenses have already been issued for Satcom services, and this topic will be thoroughly discussed during the event.
Additionally, a ‘Cyber Security Summit’ will be organized to underscore the importance of data protection and user safety.
“While providing telecom services is vital, ensuring the safety and well-being of our 1.2 billion customers is equally important,” Scindia concluded.
