In a press briefing, Shekhawat remarked, “Reports emerged last night indicating another ceasefire violation by Pakistan. In alignment with the expectations of 140 crore citizens, the Indian military has exhibited remarkable bravery and valor in its operations, leading to a renewed recognition of India's military capabilities worldwide.”
Regarding the recent tensions and Operation Sindoor, Shekhawat condemned Pakistan’s intentional provocations amidst an already strained border situation as intolerable. He reaffirmed India's steadfast dedication to combating terrorism.
“Considering the tense border conditions and following Operation Sindoor, Pakistan once again engaged in hostile actions. Our resolve to eliminate terrorism has been starkly demonstrated in recent days. India has validated both the sincerity and effectiveness of its position on the global stage,” he stated.
The Minister further noted that Pakistan's infrastructure has endured substantial damage due to India's vigorous counteractions. “We reached an understanding on a ceasefire yesterday. However, new reports last night confirmed yet another violation from Pakistan, necessitating an appropriate response from India,” he elaborated.
Shekhawat, who has prior experience in border regions, mentioned that he conducted review meetings at district headquarters to evaluate readiness and enhance cooperation between civil and military frameworks.
“My professional background has long been linked to border areas. Amid the current atmosphere of increased tension, we reassessed all aspects, evaluated preparedness at all district headquarters, and engaged with members of the Seema Jan Kalyan Samiti and other organizations. We have also connected with the local populace to uplift their spirits,” he explained.
Emphasizing the strategic significance of Jodhpur, he stated, “Jodhpur is home to AIIMS, a prominent Army Base Hospital, a substantial Railway Hospital, and critical civil infrastructure. Effective coordination among these entities is vital at this juncture. Responsibilities have been allocated based on each institution's capabilities and expertise to ensure readiness and mitigate any anxiety should the situation demand it.”
The Union Minister expressed confidence in the might of the Indian Army. “I firmly believe that Pakistan has been compelled to concede to India’s military strength. While I do not foresee further escalation, we must remain vigilant for any eventuality,” he asserted.
