Baghdad, April 15 (NationPress) Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein engaged in a telephone discussion with his Iranian counterpart Seyed Abbas Araghchi, during which he reaffirmed Iraq's commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at bolstering regional security and stability.
A statement from the Iraqi Foreign Ministry indicated that Araghchi updated Hussein on the latest developments regarding the Iran-US negotiations, characterizing the discussions as progressing "well."
Additionally, he announced that a second round of talks would soon take place with the facilitation of Oman, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
Hussein expressed his approval of the ongoing dialogue and recognized the positive influence of Oman in mediating the negotiations, according to the statement.

He remarked that Italy consented to host the meeting following requests from the negotiating parties and Oman, which is acting as a mediator. Tajani made these comments during his visit to the Italian pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka, as reported by Ansa news agency.
