Bengaluru, Nov 8 (NationPress) The Bengaluru prodigy, Ishaan Madesh from Peregrine Racing, showcased his exceptional skills by clinching victory in the senior max category, highlighting the fifth round of the MECO-FMSCI National Karting Championship 2025 at the Meco Kartopia circuit on Saturday.
Ishaan excelled in all phases of the race—Official Practice, Qualifying, Heats, pre-finals, and finals—solidifying his lead in the championship standings as the final round approaches this weekend.
“The Finals were particularly challenging. My competitors were closing in, and I had to maintain my pace,” Ishaan remarked after fending off Aarav Dewan from Guguram (Leapfrog Racing) and Krish Gupta from Mumbai (Rayo Racing), who finished in second and third place, respectively.
Other notable victors in Round-5 included Kiaan Shah from Mumbai (Rayo Racing) in the junior max category, Rehan Khan Rasheed from Chennai (Momentum Motorsport) in mini max, and Shiv Neel from Coimbatore (MSPORT), the son of India’s first Formula 1 driver, Narain Karthikeyan, in the micro max category.
Kiaan Shah strategically maneuvered his way to victory in the junior max class after starting from P2. He navigated through significant competition early on but managed to secure a comfortable win.
Rehan Khan Rasheed had a stellar performance in the mini max class, winning both the pre-finals and finals. Championship frontrunner Rivaan Dev Preetham faced a setback with a collision in the pre-finals, forcing him to start the finals in P8, yet he recovered to finish second behind Rehan, just ahead of Yatharth Gaur from Faridabad (Leapfrog Racing), who clocked the fastest lap.
Shiv Neel, starting from P3, displayed remarkable race craft to take the lead, while the only female competitor, Arshi Gupta from Faridabad (Leapfrog Racing), fought her way to a commendable second place, with local contender and championship leader Shiv Tummala from Peregrine Racing rounding out the podium.
