Coimbatore, July 11 (NationPress) A total of 74 young racers from 10 teams will compete in four categories during the opening round of the MECO-FMSCI National Karting Championship Rotax Max Classes, kicking off this Saturday.
This championship consists of six rounds, culminating in the grand finale scheduled for November 8-9. The champions in the Senior Max, Junior Max, Mini Max, and Micro Max categories will earn the opportunity to represent India at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals in Bahrain from November 29 to December 6.
For the 2025 season, the Mini Max category has been introduced for racers under the age of 11, serving as a bridge between the Micro and Junior Max classes.
The Senior Max category has seen strong participation with 34 entries. Notably, Rishon Rajeev from Bengaluru (Birel Art India) and the Madesh brothers from Peregrine Racing, Rohaan and Ishaan, are anticipated to be key contenders in a highly competitive race.
In the Junior Max category, last year’s champion, Arafath Sheikh from Pune (Crest Motorsports), will face off against Eshanth Vengatesan from Chennai (MSPORT), along with several promising newcomers.
