Amaravati, July 29 (NationPress) The opposition YSR Congress Party is set to unveil an innovative app allowing party members and citizens to document 'injustices' faced at the hands of officials. This initiative was announced by party president and former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday. The app will be activated once the party regains power, aiming to hold perpetrators accountable.
Individuals experiencing harassment from officials will be able to lodge their complaints via the app and can also upload supporting evidence.
“Any party member or individual facing false accusations, harassment, or mistreatment can use the app to document their experiences, detailing the nature of the injustice, the name of the offending official, and the instigator behind the harassment. Evidence, including videos, can also be submitted,” the YSRCP leader stated during a meeting of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC).
Complaints recorded on the app will be stored in a digital library established by the party. “Once we return to power, we will unveil this digital library and ensure that all wrongdoers face justice. We will serve them their due 'cinema' and repay them with interest,” remarked the former Chief Minister.
He criticized the coalition government led by Chandrababu Naidu for its vindictive stance against political opponents and for failing to fulfill promises made to various community sectors.
Jagan urged party members to prepare for exposing the government's shortcomings and to strengthen the party at the grassroots level, emphasizing that the future awaits their leadership.
He accused the coalition government of rampant corruption and claimed that to distract from its failures in welfare scheme implementation, it has been fabricating false cases against YSRCP leaders in a bid to instill fear.
“However, we are resilient enough to confront these challenges, as the Party was born from struggle and remains committed to its principles,” he asserted, urging members to remain vigilant, united, and leverage social media to highlight the coalition's failures.
He provided a detailed account of the government's vindictiveness, citing the arrests of MP Midhun Reddy, Nandigama Suresh, Kakani Govardhan Reddy, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, and others.
Jagan pointed to the persecution of senior leader RK Roja and ZP Chairperson Uppala Harika, along with the harassment of Peddireddy at Tadipatri, as evidence of the coalition government's hostile approach towards political rivals.
Furthermore, he alleged widespread corruption, stating that police have become collection agents for ruling party leaders. From sand to rice and liquor to gambling dens, these operations are being conducted mafia-style. He noted the rapid proliferation of liquor outlets, escalating corruption and crime.
He further stated that sectors such as education, healthcare, and agriculture have been grossly neglected, with fee reimbursements halted and essential initiatives compromised, including unfulfilled payments totaling Rs 4,200 crore for Aarogyasri. RBKs are non-operational, adversely affecting farmers who are not receiving minimum support prices for their crops, leading to state failure in produce procurement.
Reiterating that his government maintains a stronger fiscal record, Jagan pointed out that total loans acquired from 2019 to 2024 amounted to Rs 3.32 lakh crore, whereas Naidu expended 52% of this in just 14 months. While national revenue increased by 12%, the state's revenue stagnated below 3%, with public funds allegedly flowing into private hands. He claimed Naidu's trip to Singapore was merely to hide misappropriated funds.
